Description

Reserved and guarded, the miqo'te tucked in a corner garbs herself in layers of airy silks over her generously curved figure. The outfits donned in hot climates expose dark grey skin with even darker stripes, lending her the look of a tabby cat.The colors and styles of her dress and makeup stand in contrast to her shy actions. Often she wears shades of greens and silvers, the colors of her house. Dark makeup, often black, can lean towards a similar green painted expertly upon eyelids and full lips.Upon her nose rests a pair of spectacles, black in frame. A delicate chain loops around the legs of the glasses and secures behind her neck, lending her a look befitting a gloomy curator who would rather be amongst books.For what it is worth, she would likely fit better in a room of books rather than people, for her shyness leads to her actively avoiding others. Rarely does she look others in the eyes and when she does, the glance is often fleeting. Her ears, short and fluffy, do not move to pick up sounds around her. Should one try speaking with her, they would swiftly find out why: she is deaf. However, she does speak aloud most times, signing with her hands as she does so.She is a naturally curious woman, watching those around her discreetly and without judgment. Orange eyes cast about the surrounding areas, watching carefully, soaking in all she can.Two pieces of jewelry are always found on her person without fail: a pair of earrings fashioned from the fangs of her parents’ last hunt, and a ring with the Suren seal depicting a green and silver head of a tiger carved from a mixture of pure metals and emeralds decorating it, with the dark stripes coming from darker emeralds.

These small noises are habits from her younger years, when she lived in the Black Shroud.✦ Xirae has recently begun a business for the conservation of books and scrolls. She has had a few clients, all from Ishgardian collectors. Her work comes with high praise and she is recommended to any looking to have ancient texts restored or preserved.

Rumors of House Leclair

✦ Well over a decade ago, the family suffered through the tragedy of losing their youngest child while away on a trip to the Black Shroud. Many say they saw the members of the family return with one less elezen child, and with a strange miqo'te kit dressed in furs and leathers. That was the last time any outside of trusted associates saw a single one of the children until recently. Rumors say the children were locked away like prized possessions for fear more tragedy would strike.✦ The Leclair house is fairly young, by way of noble estates. It is only a few centuries old. In that time, they have made a name for themselves dealing in priceless collectables and texts. They have dealings far and wide, though their contacts lessened over the last few years, they are gaining them back and traveling far once more.✦ Should one have connections to the underbelly, they would know the Leclair house to be a small empire operating just under the nose of the law. To the law they adhere, but do so in a way to get away with their business dealings without any true harm coming to the family. The heads of the house are shrewd business people, a cunning couple known for tight deals and solid contracts that keep all parties involved free from city-state repercussions.
